Introduction & pouch

Duration: 1 hour on a ready-to-use hand-operated loom

Course outline: You will weave on a hand-operated loom on which a black or white warp has already been set up (the threads stretched across the loom will already be in place), and you will choose the weft threads to use for weaving. You will learn the basic techniques of weaving – that is, the actual act of weaving – and experiment with different weaves (weaving patterns).
At the end of the workshop, you will choose a Liberty-print cotton lining for the inside of your pouch.

Materials:
Outer: Black or white cotton-linen warp. Weft: cotton, linen, wool or mohair wool, depending on your choice during the workshop
Interior: Liberty-print cotton lining (matching your woven fabric)

I will make your pouch myself in the weeks following the workshop and post it to you.

Rate: CHF 80.-* (materials included) + postage
*Do you know how to sew and would like to make your own pouch at home? The workshop fee is CHF 40 if you’re just taking your woven fabric home, or CHF 50 for your woven fabric and sewing supplies (a zip and a Liberty cotton lining from a selection).
Payment in cash or via Twint on the spot (bank transfer is possible when purchasing a gift voucher or in the case of advance payment).
